Short Title:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING REGINE MONESTIME, TO
SERVE AS A SPECIAL MASTER FOR A TWO (2) YEAR TERM
COMMENCING SEPTEMBER 23, 2017; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
Staff Summary:
The City of Miami Gardens has established a Code Enforcement Special Master Program,
whereby all appeals of code enforcement violations and red light camera infractions are heard
by a Special Master. In accordance with Section 8-23(a) of the City’s Code of Ordinances,
Special Masters appointments are recommended by the City Attorney, but are appointed by City
Council. The City Attorney recommends that the City Council reappoints Regine Monestime to
serve as a Special Master for a two (2) year term.
