A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
ROLLING OAKS PARK AND THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
SHOWMOBILE FOR THE MIAMI NORLAND ALUMNI PICNIC TO
BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JULY 22, 2017; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Norland Alumni Committee would like to host its first alumni
picnic on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 11.00am- 7:30pm, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this event is to reunite and celebrate all alumni
classes of Miami Norland Senior High, galvanize the community, and raise funds for the
school's Athletic Program, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert would like to sponsor the use of Rolling Oaks
Park and the City of Miami Gardens showmobile in support of Miami Norland Alumni
Picnic,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the use of Rolling Oaks Park and the City of Miami Gardens
showmobile for the Miami Norland Alumni Picnic on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

Gardens showmobile in support of Miami Norland Alumni Picnic Committee's first Alumni Picnic.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The purpose of this event is to reunite and celebrate all alumni classes of Miami Norland Senior
High, galvanize the community, and raise funds for the school's Athletic Program.
Action.
Recommend City Council to approve this resolution. •
