A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, CANCELING THE NOVEMBER 22
2017, AND DECEMBER 27, 2017, CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting in November falls the week of
Thanksgiving, and
WHEREAS, the second City Council meeting in December falls during the
Christmas Holidays, and
WHEREAS, traditionally the City Council has cancelled these meeting to allow its
members, staff and residents to travel during this time period, and
WHEREAS, if something critical should arise, it is always possible to call a
special Council meeting, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk recommends that City Council approve the resolution
canceling the November 22, 2017, and December 27, 2017, City Council Meetings,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby approves the resolution canceling the November 22, 2017, and December 27,
2017, City Council Meetings.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 11, 2017.
