A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE 2018
LEGISLATIVE AGENDA FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert proposes adopting of the 2018 Legislative
Agenda, and
WHEREAS, the Miami Gardens Charter, Article II Section 2.1 (a)(4) informs that
the City Mayor shall be the official designated to represent the City in all dealings with
governmental entities, and
WHEREAS, the legislative agenda has not changed from last year's agenda,
which is attached hereto as "Exhibit A", and
WHEREAS, the legislative session begins January 9, 2018, and
WHEREAS, the legislative agenda outlines the City's priorities and will be used
to assist the City's lobbyist in advocating on behalf of the City during the 2018 session,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby adopts the 2018 Legislative Agenda for the City of Miami Gardens.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 13, 2017.
