A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING THE SUM OF ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) FROM COUNCILMAN
ERHABOR IGHODARO'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF HOSTING THE 2019 HAITIAN FLAG DAY
CELEBRATION; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, this resolution supports the 2019 Miami Gardens Haitian Flag Day
Celebration hosted by Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro, tentatively scheduled for
Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the City Hall, and
WHEREAS, the event celebrates the rich culture and heritage of Haiti, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro is requesting a sponsorship in the
amount of One Thousand Dollars $(1,000.00) from his Public Affairs Account for the
purpose of hosting the 2019 Haitian Flag Day Celebration, and
WHEREAS, additional funding sources include sponsorships and donations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) from Councilman
Erhabor Ighodaro's Public Affairs Account, for the purpose of hosting the 2019 Haitian
Flag Day Celebration.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
