A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING COUNCILMAN
ERHABOR IGHODARO'S APPOINTMENTS OF ERNICE ELI AND
LA'QUESHA BEARD TO THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
ADVISORY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council created the Commission for Women to serve in an
advisory capacity making recommendations to the City Council and to the City Manager
in respect to all matters pertaining to the status of all women within the City, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro and each member of the City Council
have the right to appoint two members to the Commission for Women Advisory
Committee, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Ighodaro has appointed Ernice Eli and La'Quesha
Beard to the Commission for Women Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, each appointment will be for two (2) year term, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City Council to approve these appointments,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby acknowledges the appointments of Ernice Eli and La'Quesha Beard to the
Commission for Women Advisory Committee for two (2) year terms.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
