A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING COUNCILMAN REGGIE
LEON'S APPOINTMENT OF LOUISA BERTRAND TO THE MIAMI
GARDENS CARIBBEAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-140 of the City of Miami Gardens Code
of Ordinances, Councilman Reggie Leon appoints Louisa Bertrand to the City of Miami
Gardens Caribbean Affairs Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Bertrand's term will commence upon appointment and shall
coincide with the term of Councilman Leon, and
WHEREAS, once appointed, Ms. Bertrand will adhere to the duties and powers
of the Advisory Committee as outlined in the Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this Resolution acknowledges Councilman Reggie Leon's,
appointment of Louisa Bertrand to the Caribbean Affairs Advisory Committee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby acknowledges the appointment of Louisa Bertrand to the Caribbean Affairs
Advisory Committee with a term to coincide with that of Councilman Leon.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
