A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING COUNCILMAN
REGGIE LEON APPOINTMENT OF LINDA BLACKSHEAR TO
THE MIAMI GARDENS ELDERLY AFFAIRS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-242 of the City of Miami Gardens Code
of Ordinances, Councilman Reggie Leon, has appointed Linda Blackshear to the Elderly
Affairs Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Blackshear's term will commence upon appointment and shall
coincide with the term of Councilman Leon, and
WHEREAS, this Resolution acknowledges Councilman Reggie Leon's
appointment of Linda Blackshear to the Elderly Affairs Advisory Committee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby acknowledges the appointment of Linda Blackshear to the Elderly Affairs
Advisory Committee with a term to coincide with that of Councilman Leon.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
