A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING
COUNCILWOMAN KATRINA WILSON'S APPOINTMENT OF
MELODY DELANCEY AND TRAVITA STANLEY TO THE MIAMI
GARDENS COMMISSION FOR WOMEN; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council created the Commission for Women to serve in an
advisory capacity making recommendations to the City Council and to the City Manager
in respect to all matters pertaining to the status of all Women within the City, and
WHEREAS, Each Council Member shall appoint two members and the Mayor will
appoint one member to the Commission for Women Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Katrina Wilson has appointed Melody Delancey and
Travita Stanley to the Commission for Women Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, each appointment will be for two (2) year term, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City Council to acknowledge these
appointments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: ACKNOWLEDGMENT: The City Council of the City of Miami
Gardens hereby acknowledges the appointment of Melody Delancey and Travita
Stanley to the Commission for Women Advisory Committee for two (2) year terms.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON APRIL 10, 2019.
