A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN ERHABOR IGHODARO'S SPECIAL EVENTS
ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($3,000), FOR THE 2019 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND FOOD
FESTIVAL; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the International Music and Food Festival is an annual event that
highlights the diversity of South Florida and the City of Miami Gardens and offers
residents and visitors the opportunity to experience this multifaceted, culturally
significant celebration, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro recommends bringing this event back
to the City of Miami Gardens to promote culture and inclusion, which drives economic
activity, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro is requesting to allocate Three
Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) from his Special Events Account for the 2019
International Music and Food Festival,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro's Special Events Account in
the amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00), for the 2019 International Music
and Food Festival.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
