A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
RENEW THE AGREEMENT WITH SOFTWARE HOUSE
INTERNATIONAL INC FOR LICENSING SOLUTIONS PROVIDERS
OF MICROSOFT SOFTWARE AND SERVICES FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2019-2020; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE
HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND
EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SEVEN CENTS ($161 ,688.07),;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on January 29, 2016, the Florida Department of Management
Services entered into contract number 43230000-15-02 with Software House
International (SHI), Inc. for Licensing Solutions Providers of Microsoft Software and
Services pursuant to Invitation To Negotiate (ITN) 07-43230000-L, and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Management Services contract with SHI is
valid through January 31, 2020, and
WHEREAS, on October 12, 2016, the City Council authorized the City Manager to
rely upon State of Florida Contract #43230000-15-02 and enter into an agreement, on an
annual renewal basis, with SHI for the licenses of all Microsoft Products used by the City
of Miami Gardens ("City"), and
WHEREAS, the City's estimated contract value is One Hundred Sixty-One
Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Dollars and Seven Cents ($161,688.07), and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the renewal of
the agreement with SHI for Licensing Solutions Providers of Microsoft Software and
Services and authorize the City Manager to issue purchase orders for a total not to exceed
One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Dollars and Seven
Cents ($161 ,688.07), for fiscal year 2019-2020 to SHI,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made
a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to renew the agreement with SHI and authorizes the
City Manager to issue purchase orders in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-
One Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Dollars and Seven Cents ($161,688.07),
for fiscal year 2019-2020 for Licensing Solutions Providers of Microsoft Software and
Services.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
