HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-156-3285 City Manager Authorizing to Engage in Agreement with CDW Government RESOLUTION NO. 2019-156-3285 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CDW GOVERNMENT, LLC FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES, BY RELYING UPON CITY OF MESA CONTRACT #2018011-01 , IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY ONE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED AND NINE DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-SIX CENTS ($41 ,609.76) AND A FIVE YEAR TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS (208,048.80); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens Information Technology (IT) Department seeks to purchase Datrium DVX hardware for essential city services, and WHEREAS, on September 20, 201, the City of Mesa, Arizona competitively solicited for Information Technology Solutions and Services under RFP No. 2018011 , and WHEREAS, the resulting contract was awarded to vendor, CDW Government, LLC (CDW-G) on March 01, 2018 and is valid through February 28, 2023, , and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens Procurement Code, Sec. 2-757 exempts from competitive bidding `the purchase of commodities or services from contracts previously awarded by other governmental entities that were competitively bid", and WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a lease agreement with CDW-G for a period of five years with an annual amount of Forty-One Thousand Six Hundred Nine Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($41,609.76), and a total five year amount of Two Hundred Eight Thousand Forty-Eight Dollars and Eighty-Cents ($208,048.80), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an agreement with CDW Government, LLC for Information Technology Solutions and Services, by relying upon City of Mesa Contract #2018011-01, in an annual amount not to exceed Forty One Thousand, Six Hundred and Nine Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($41,609.76) and a five year total not to exceed Two Hundred Eight Thousand Forty-Eight Dollars and Eighty Cents (208,048.80) Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage.
