A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF
INVITATION TO BID NUMBER 18-19-004 TO BE GREEN TREE
SERVICE AND LANDSCAPING INC., FOR THE FURNISHING
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF PALMS AND PLANTS AT
VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NEEDED, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED THE ALLOCATED BUDGETED AMOUNT FOR SUCH
PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens ("City") needs plants and palms to
beautify the City, and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2019, Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number 18-19-004 for the
Furnishing Delivery and Installation of Palms and Plants was solicited via BidSync and
closed on April 18, 2019, and
WHEREAS, four (4) bids from from Bannerman Landscaping, Inc., Be Green
Tree Service and Landscaping, Inc., Orchid Man Landscape Artisans, Corp. and
Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service, Inc., were received and evaluated and all
vendors were deemed responsible and responsive to the requirements of the ITB, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Office of
Procurement Management's recommendation for award of Invitation to Bid No. 18-19-
004, for the Furnishing Delivery and Installation of Palms and Plants, to Be Green Tree
Service and Landscaping, Inc., and authorize the City Manager to issue purchase
orders, on an as needed basis, not to exceed the allocated budget amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an award of Invitation to Bid Number 18-19-004 to Be Green Tree
Service and Landscaping, Inc., for the Furnishing Delivery and Installation of Palms and
Plants, and authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders, as needed, in an
amount not to exceed the allocated budgeted amount for such purpose.
Section 1 EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12, 2019.
