A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A RENTAL FEE
WAIVER FOR THE USE OF SCOTT LAKE PARK ON SATURDAY,
JUNE 15, 2019, FOR THE GIRL SCOUT TROOP NUMBER 347
FATHER'S EVENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miami Garden's Girl Scout Troop Number 347 is requesting to host
a "Father's Event" indoor at Scott Lake Park, and
WHEREAS, the event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019,
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, this event is an opportunity for members of the Girl Scout Troop to
honor their fathers, and other fathers in the community who are an active positive image
and influence in the lives of young girls, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Rodney Harris is requesting that the park usage fee be
waived at Scott Lake park for the Miami Garden's Girl Scout Troop Number 347
"Father's Event", on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes a rental fee waiver for the use of Scott Lake Park on Saturday, June
15, 2019, for the Girl Scout Troop Number 347 Father's Event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12, 2019.
