A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING TWENTY FIVE
HUNDRED ($2500.00) FROM MAYOR OLIVER GILBERT'S
SPECIAL EVENT ACCOUNT TO SUPPORT THE S.E.E.K.
CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT AND CHEF COOK OFF
COMMUNITY EVENT TO BE HELD ON JULY 13, 2019;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert is requesting $2,500.00 from his special event
account to support the Charity Golf Tournament and Chef Cook Off community event of
S.E.E.K Foundation, Inc. on July 13, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Charity Golf Tournament and Chef Cook-Off
event is to raise funds for culinary scholarships and provide exposure to golf to youth
and families, and
WHEREAS, it is a collaborative effort between SEEK Foundation, the STEM
program and the First Tee of Broward, which are all organizations that support fostering
education through healthy and fun initiatives,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section Z AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of twenty five hundred ($2500) from the Mayor's
Special Event Account to support the Charity Golf Tournament and Chef Cook Off
community event of S.E.E.K Foundation, Inc. on July 13, 2019.
Section 1 EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12, 2019.
