A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF
INVITATION TO BID NUMBER 18-19-009 TO ADOLPH KIEFER &
ASSOCIATES, LLC D.B.A. THE LIFEGUARD STORE, BSN
SPORTS, LLC AND PERFORMANCE TEAM SPORTS, LLC, FOR
THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF SPORTS EQUIPMENT
AND UNIFORMS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NEEDED, IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED THE ALLOCATED BUDGETED AMOUNT FOR
SUCH PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens ("City") Parks and Recreation Department
Athletic Programs need football equipment, football uniforms, basketball equipment,
basketball uniforms, baseball equipment, baseball uniforms, soccer equipment, soccer
uniforms, track and field equipment, track and field uniforms, and swimming equipment,
and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2019, Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number 18-19-009,
Purchase and Delivery of Sports Equipment and Uniforms was solicited via BidSync.
and closed on April 22, 2019, and
WHEREAS, four (4) bids from Adolph Kiefer & Associates, LLC D.B.A. The
Lifeguard Store, BSN Sports, LLC, Performance Team Sports, LLC and The Prophet
Corporation D.B.A. Gopher Sport, were received and evaluated and all vendors were
deemed responsible and responsive to the requirements of the ITB, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Office of
Procurement Management's recommendation for award of Invitation to Bid No. 18-19-
009, for Purchase and Delivery of Sports Equipment and Uniforms, to Adolph Kiefer &
Associates, LLC D.B.A. The Lifeguard Store, BSN Sports, LLC, and Performance Team
Sports, LLC, and authorize the City Manager to issue purchase orders, on an as
needed basis, not to exceed the allocated budget amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes an award of Invitation to Bid Number 18-19-009 to Adolph Kiefer &
Associates, LLC D.B.A. The Lifeguard Store, BSN Sports, LLC and Performance Team
Sports, LLC, for the purchase and delivery of sports equipment and uniforms, and
authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders, as needed, in an amount not to
exceed the allocated budgeted amount for such purpose.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12, 2019.
