A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING THE SUM OF
THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,500.00)
FROM COUNCILMAN WILLIAMS' SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT
TO SUPPORT THE MIRACLE IN THE GARDENS EVENT;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miracle in the Gardens is a community event where residents and
visitors have the opportunity to join Councilman David Williams, Jr. and area pastors to
learn about gardening, healthy food choices, and the benefits of partnership, and
WHEREAS, Miracle in the Gardens, will be held Thursday, July 13, 2019 at the
Miami Gardens Community Botanical Garden located at 18330 NW 12th Avenue Miami
Gardens, FL 33169, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Williams, Jr., is requesting funding of a budgeted
amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00), from the FY2019 Special
Events Account designated for each Councilperson under the City Council Special
Events Account, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Williams recommends that the City Council approves
this resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00)
from Councilman Williams' Special Events Account to support the Miracle in the
Gardens event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12, 2019.
