A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE
PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN THE
AMOUNT OF SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000.00), TO
SUPPORT NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert is requesting Seven Thousand Dollars
($7,000.00) from the Public Affairs Special Events Account to be donated to Not-For-
Profit Organizations and/or Charitable Organizations, and
WHEREAS, Norland High School Cheerleaders, Carol City High School
Cheerleaders, Sunshine Heart, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Youth Step Show
Program, Carol City Middle School, Norland Middle School, and Scott Lake Elementary
School will each receive OneThoussand Dollars ($1,000.00) each,
WHEREAS, the purpose of the donations will be to provide Not-For-Profit
Organizations and/or Charitable Organizations, who serve the community funds for use
to aid them in their endeavors to enrich the lives of the City of Miami Gardens residents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from the Public Affairs Special Events Account for Seven
Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00), to support Not-For-Profit Organizations and/or Charitable
Organizations as outlined above.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 11 , 2019.
