RESOLUTION NO. 2019-2019-182-3311
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS, FLORIDA, WAIVING PARK RENTAL FEES FOR ROLLING
OAKS PARK FOR THE CHURCH ALIVE AND WELLSPRING
COMMUNITY RESOURCES HEALTH AND WELLNESS PICNIC;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Church Alive and Wellspring Community Resources are two non-profit
organizations, and
WHEREAS, both organizations are collaborating with Vice Mayor Rodney Harris along
with area health and wellness providers to host a Health and Wellness Picnic, and
WHEREAS, this annual Health and Wellness picnic will provide residents the
opportunity to participate in senior games for special prizes, gather information from
community health and wellness experts and enjoy a healthy soulful meal prepared by Chef
Kenny of New York City, and
WHEREAS, Vice Mayor Rodney Harris is requesting the waiver of rental fees for use of
Rolling Oaks Park for the Church Alive and Wellspring Community Resources Health and
Wellness Picnic, and
WHEREAS, the health and wellness picnic will take place on Saturday, September 21,
2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs
are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.

Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby
authorizes rental fee waivers at Rolling Oaks Park for the Church Alive and Wellspring
Community Resources Health and Wellness Picnic.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2019.
