A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN IGHODARO'S PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN
THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), FOR THE
MT. ZION AARP THANKSGIVING LUNCH ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 19, 2019; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church is an African Methodist Episcopal church in
Miami Gardens that welcomes all members of the community to join their morning worship
service on Sundays at 11 :00am, and
WHEREAS, additionally, the church conducts many social programs like
community service, children's ministry, youth group, faith and work, and missions, and
WHEREAS, on November 19th, Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church will partner with members
of the local AARP chapter to host a Thanksgiving luncheon and meeting to build
camaraderie amongst senior citizens, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro is requesting a sponsorship in the
amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) from his Public Affairs Special Events Account
to assist with offsetting the costs associated with hosting the Mt. Zion-AARP Thanksgiving
Lunch,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made
a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Councilman Ighodaro's Public Affairs Account in the amount
of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), for the Mt. Zion-AARP Thanksgiving Lunch on
Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD QN NOVEMBER 13, 2019.
