A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PARTNER WITH THE ORANGE BLOSSOM
CLASSIC TO HOST THE ORANGE BLOSSOM HIGH SCHOOL
FOOTBALL SHOWCASE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ALL OF THE NECESSARY STEPS TO
FINALIZE THIS PARTNERSHIP; PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Orange Blossom High School Football Showcase, will feature
two local schools, to be held at Traz Powell Stadium, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert, III recommends the City Council for the City of
Miami Gardens authorize the City Manager to partner with the Orange Blossom Classic
to host the Orange Blossom High School Football Showcase, and authorize the City
Manager to take all of the necessary steps to finalize this partnership,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to partner with the Orange Blossom Classic, and
authorizes the City Manager to take all of the necessary steps to finalize this
partnership.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELDON JA ARY 8, 2020.
