A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO TRANE U.S.
INC, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED AND
SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND SEVEN-HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX
DOLLARS ($262,796.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF HVAC
UNITS, BY RELYING UPON U.S. COMMUNITIES AND HARFORD
PUBLIC SCHOOLS CONTRACT NUMBER 15-JLP-023;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Center Gymnasium in the City of
Miami Gardens ("City") requires the replacement and installation of heating, ventilation,
and air conditioning ("HVAC") units, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Request for Proposals 15-JLP-023, Harford County
Public Schools entered into an Agreement with Trane U.S. which expires on September
30, 2020, and
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Planning desires to rely upon the Harford
County Public Schools Agreement and purchase equipment from Trane U.S., and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approves the Office of
Procurement Management's Recommendation to rely upon the US Communities and
Harford County Public Schools Agreement Number 15-JLP-023 for the purchase of
HVAC equipment for the Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Center,
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI ,GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.

Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders to Trane U.S. Inc, in an
amount not to exceed Two Hundred and Sixty-Two Thousand Seven-Hundred and
Ninety-Six Dollars ($262,796.00), for the purchase of HVAC units, by relying upon U.S.
Communities and Harford Public Schools Contract Number 15-JLP-023.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 12, 2020.
