A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF MIAMI
CITY PARKS AND THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS
SNOWMOBILE FOR THE MIAMI CAROL CITY SENIOR HIGH
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC AND
THE MIAMI NORLAND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC IN FISCAL
YEAR 2020; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Miami Carol City Senior High Alumni Association and the Miami
Norland Senior High School Alumni Association would like to host a Community Picnics
at City parks in fiscal year 2020, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of these events is to convene the community with
alumni and supporters of Miami Gardens' own Senior High schools for enjoyable,
family-friendly events, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert would like to sponsor the use of City parks and
the City of Miami Gardens showmobile in support of the alumni associations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the use of City parks and the City's showmobile for the Miami Carol
City Senior High Alumni Association's Community Picnic and the Miami Norland Senior
High Alumni Association's Community Picnic in fiscal year 2020.

Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 26, 2020.
