A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AWARDING INVITATION TO BID
(ITB) NUMBER 19-20-006, MUNICIPAL GARAGE ELEVATOR
LOBBY ENCLOSURES, TO SUN EAGLE GENERAL
CONTRACTORS CORP; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE ALLOCATED
BUDGETED AMOUNT, FOR THIS PURPOSE; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Gardens ("City") solicited bids to establish a lump
sum contract, with a qualified contractor for construction services to enclose the existing
Municipal Parking Garage Elevator Lobbies, including but not limited to, all labor,
materials, equipment, permitting, installation of new hurricane resistant glazing,
hardware doors, and louver at the 4th level in accordance with the specifications
detailed in the ITB, and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2020, ITB Number 19-20-006, Municipal Garage
Elevator Lobby Enclosures was solicited via BidSync and closed on February 11, 2020
with three (3) bids from Kalex Construction & Development Inc., One General
Contractors LLC and Sun Eagle General Contractors Corp. which were received and
publicly read, and
WHEREAS, City Staff evaluated the bids for compliance with the specifications of
the ITB and Sun Eagle General Contractors Corp. was deemed the lowest responsible
and responsive bidder, and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approves the Office of
Procurement Management recommendation for award of ITB No. 19-20-006, Municipal
Garage Elevator Lobby Enclosures, to Sun Eagle General Contractors Corp. and
authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders on an as needed basis not to
exceed the allocated budget amount,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby awards ITB Number 19-20-006, Municipal Garage Elevator Lobby Enclosures,
to Sun Eagle General Contractors Corp and authorizes the City Manager to issue
purchase orders on an as needed basis, in an amount not to exceed the allocated
budgeted amount.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 16, 2020.
