A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN IGHODARO'S SPECIAL EVENTS ACCOUNT IN
THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($3200.00) AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN
THE AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000.00), IN
SUPPORT OF 2020 COMMUNITY DISTRIBUTION; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, each year, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro partners with various
community-based organizations to host a series of community distributions aimed at
supplying residents in need with appropriate goods and services, at no charge, and
WHEREAS, this year, the importance of hosting such a distribution is magnified
due to the economic impact caused by the coronavirus outbreak, and
WHEREAS, the upcoming distribution will provide an avenue for resource-
challenged families to acquire essential items such as reusable and disposable face
wear, hand sanitizer and other personal protection equipment, in addition to the food
and back to school supplies for youth that is usually provided at the distributions, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro is requesting a sponsorship in the
amount of $1000.00 from his Public Affairs Account (001-12-02-512-492-06) in support
of a community distribution,
WHEREAS, Councilman Erhabor Ighodaro is requesting a sponsorship in the
amount of $3200.00 from his Special Events Account (001-11-01-511-496-01) in
support of a community distribution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby allocates funds from Councilman Ighodaro's Public Affairs Account (001-12-02-
512-492-06) in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) and Special Events
Account (001-11-01-511-496-01) in the amount of Three Thousand Two Hundred
Dollars ($3200.00), in support of a community distribution.
Section 1 EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS SPECIAL VIRTUAL MEETING HELD ON JUNE 10, 2020.
