A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER
WITH RGEN ENTERPRISES D/B/A COOL WATER AIR
CONDITIONING LANDSCAPING, FOR BETTY T FERGUSON
RECREATION CENTER HVAC UNIT REPLACEMENT;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Center Gymnasium in the City of
Miami Gardens ("City") requires the replacement and installation of heating, ventilation,
and air conditioning (HVAC) units, and
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2020, the City Council approved the award of ITB
18-19-026 to RGEN Enterprises LLC DBA Cool Water Air Conditioning for HVAC Unit
Replacement at Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Center, and
WHEREAS, replacement of Rooftop Units ("RTU") 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 12 has been
completed, and
WHEREAS, a Change Order in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty Five
Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00) is required to complete the replacement of all RTUs,
and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Change
Order in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00), and
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI ,GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby approves a Change Order with RGEN Enterprises D/B/A Cool Water Air
Conditioning Landscaping for Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Center HVAC Unit
Replacement.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS SPECIAL VIRTUAL MEETING HELD ON JUNE 3, 2020.
