A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
COUNCILMAN WILLIAMS' SPECIAL AFFAIRS ACCOUNT IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00) NUNC PRO TUNC TO
SUPPORT THE MIRACLE IN THE GARDENS EVENT;
PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Miracle in the Gardens is a community event where residents and
visitors have the opportunity to join Councilman David Williams, Jr. and area pastors to
learn about gardening, healthy food choices, and the benefits of partnership, and
WHEREAS, Miracle in the Gardens, tentative date, time and location will be
announced.
WHEREAS, Councilman David Williams, Jr., is requesting Two Thousand Dollars
($2,000.00) from the Special Affairs Account for Seat 5, nunc pro tunc designated for
each Councilperson under the City Council Special Affairs Account, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Williams recommends that the City Council approves
this resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the allocation of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) nunc pro tunc
from Councilman Williams' Special Affairs Account to support the Miracle in the
Gardens event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS VIRTUAL SPECIAL MEETING HELD JUNE 3, 2020.
