A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS TO
VARIOUS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING CRIME
WATCH ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR
THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mayor Oliver Gilbert is requesting the City Council authorize funds to
be donated to the following organizations and Crime Watches in Miami Gardens:
a. ASAP - Advancing Sickle Cell Advocacy Project - $1,453
b. Andover/Coconut Cay — $1,453
c. Brentwood - $1,453
d. Bunche Park - $1,453
e. Crestview/Rolling Oaks - $1 ,453
f. Hamlet Walden Pond - $1,453
g. Lake Lucerne - $1,453
h. North County Neighborhood Association - $1,453
i. Norwood - $1,453
j. Pentab - $1,453
k. Riverview - $1,453
I. Robert Sharpe Towers - $1,453
m. Scott Lake - $1,453
WHEREAS, the donations would be used to aid the listed organizations in their
endeavors to enrich the lives of Residents, and
WHEREAS, funding is available as follows.-

ollows:o $7,000 from 001-12-02-512-492-00 (Public Affairs Special Events
Account)
o $2,000 from 001-11-01-511-490-01 (Special Event)
o $9,889 from 001-00-00-223-010-00 (Donations/Community)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS.-
Section
OLLOWS:Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are
hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby authorizes the donations outlined in this Resolution to those organizations
listed above.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 22, 2020.
