HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-087-3486 PO to Wabash Valley Manufacturing RESOLUTION NO. 2020-087-3486 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS TO WABASH VALLEY MANUFACTURING, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRASH RECEPTACLES AND BUS BENCHES, IN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND AND THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND NINETY-ONE CENTS ($62,358.91) BY RELYING UPON THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS BID #15/16-602MP (R3); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, due to the deterioration of trash receptacles and benches throughout the City of Miami Gardens ("City'), new benches and trash receptacles are required, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's Code of Ordinances Section 2- 757(b)(2), the City desires to rely on Charlotte County Public Schools Bid #15/16- 602MP (R3) that was renewed on March 10, 2020, and WHEREAS, City Staff recommends that the City Council approves the purchase of trash receptacles and the benches in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Two Thousand And Three Hundred And Fifty-Eight Dollars and Ninety-One Cents ($62,358.91), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 : ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens hereby[LW1] authorizes the City Manager to issue purchase orders to Wabash Valley Manufacturing, for the purchase of trash receptacles and bus benches, in amount not to exceed Sixty-Two Thousand and Three Hundred and Fifty-Eight Dollars and Ninety-One Cents ($62,358.91), by relying upon the Charlotte County Public Schools Bid #15/16- 602mp (R3). Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS AT ITS REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 22, 2020.
