A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE MIAMI
GARDENS VOTES DAY; WAIVING THE COSTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE USE OF THE SNOWMOBILE AND WAIVING STAFF
COST FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2020; PROVIDING
FOR THE ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Councilmembers Katrina Wilson and Robert Stephens will host a
Miami Gardens Votes Day on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at the Betty T. Ferguson
Recreational Center at 12:00pm, and
WHEREAS, the event will encourage residents to participate in the 2020 General
Election and Census, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Robert Stephens is requesting the City of Miami
Gardens' showmobile for the duration of this event and a fee waiver for the Showmobile
rental and associated costs, and
WHEREAS, Councilman Robert Stephens is requesting four officers to be
present during the event and a fee waiver for associated costs, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby supports the Miami Gardens Votes drive-up event, and waives the costs
associated with the use of the showmobile and staff time for the event.
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS VIRTUAL SPECIAL MEETING HEL :ON OCTOBER 14, 2020.
