A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE CITY
MANAGER'S AUTHORIZATION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER TO RS TECHNOLOGIES, LLC FOR THE PURCHASE
OF TWO THERMAL TEMPERATURE SCANNERS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($70,000.00); PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
REPRESENTATIONS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on or around March 20, 2020, the City of Miami Gardens ("City")
limited access to City Hall in order to reduce residents' and City Staff's exposure to
COVID-19, and
WHEREAS, in preparation for the reopening of City Hall and addressing
concerns regarding the safety of employees and the public, the City of Miami Gardens
requested Quotes for thermal temperature scanners, and
WHEREAS, RS Technologies LLC provided the best overall value with a quote
for Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) for two (2) fever screening scanner
systems, professional services, software with upgrades and a warranty, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Declaration of Local Emergency
which was ratified by the City Council of the City of Miami Gardens under Resolution
Number 2020, the Office of Procurement Management recommends that the City
Council ratify the City Manager's authorization to issue a purchase order to RS
Technologies LLC in the amount Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) for two (2)
fever screening scanning systems,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ADOPTION OF REPRESENTATIONS: The foregoing Whereas
paragraphs are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true, and the same are hereby
made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: AUTHORIZATION: The City Council of the City of Miami Gardens
hereby ratifies the City Manager's authorization to issue a purchase order to RS
Technologies, LLC for the purchase of two thermal temperature scanners, in an amount
not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) .
Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.

GARDENS AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2020.
